Through the coaching experience, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside professional coaches with experiences in some of the best professional leagues in the world.
Fabrizio Piccareta, Rome City’s Athletic Director and men’s soccer head coach, has experience in the Premier League with Sunderland, as well as with As Roma, Inter and Spal.
Marco Montini, Rome City’s Strength and Conditioning coach, has worked in the past with Napoli and it’s now working with the U17 Italian National team.
Now they are both putting their knowledge and experience of the game to the disposal of players and coaches here at Rome City Institute.

The objective of this program is to put coaches through a thought-provoking and creative process that will inspire them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Our professional academy trains 5 times a week, Monday through Friday. This will allow you to experience different types of training throughout the same week, and see first hand what the SMI methodology is about.
Located in the center of Rome, our training center is 18 aches large, which allows our athletes to live a professional experience in every aspect. From the soccer pitch you can experience one of the most breathtaking views in the world. In May 1926, the Cardinal Pietro Gasparri consecrated this magical place

Before joining SMI in 2021, coach Blitz was the Head Coach at University of Missouri for 25 years, where he was the only Head Coach to patrol the sidelines for Mizzou women’s soccer team.
In 2020, His 293 career wins ranked him 31st nationally among active head coaches. After graduating from SMI’s Master in Sport Management & Coaching, Coach Blitz went back to the United States and joined the coaching staff of Washington State University women’s soccer team.
