    Under the direction of Director of Coaching and World Cup winner Marco Materazzi, SMI created its own soccer methodology. We are able to offer the best soccer experience in Italy because of our numerous affiliations with top clubs and leagues, including the Italian Serie A. Our team is made up of UEFA coaches with years of expertise at the top level who speak several languages. Additionally, SMI invites sports students from all over the world to study at a university situated in the center of Rome. With the help of one of our own Academic Directors and Serie A Coach, Antonio Cincotta, we work to transfer our knowledge from the classroom to the playing field.

    Classes Structure: Live on zoom 

    *Live classes are held on Wednesday evenings at 8:00 PM, local time in Italy, and they have a duration of one hour. All sessions are recorded.

    1. Introduction to Italian Soccer Methodology
    2. Defensive Strategy with small-sided games
    3. Defensive Strategy – Italian Methodology
    4. Tactics and training load

     

    MODULE 2

    1. Offensive Counter attack, the direct killer pass
    2. How to improve set pieces strategy
    3. Offensive positional attack, the indirect killer pass

     

    MODULE 3

    1. Young sector: the Italian Philosophy
    2. 10-12 years: how to improve soccer skills 
    3. 12-14 years: how to mix physical abilities with technical drills
    4. 14-16 years: the biggest challenges
    5. Final exam

    Programs Learning Objects

    • Learn italian defensive strategy from the historical strategy of coach Sacchi to the modern strategy of coach Allegri.
    • Improve Italian strategy of counter attack: the modern Atalanta of Gasperini and more.
    • Analyze strategy positional attack with practice of coach Sarri.
    • Learn fluid positioning strategy
